Koboa: The South American 5e, PF2 and Black Flag Setting

Created by The Word Refinery

Koboa is a Tabletop RPG setting for 5e, PF2, and Black Flag created by an all South American team and based on our stories and culture. Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit pre-order. We will keep you informed all along the way!

over 1 year ago – Wed, Jun 14, 2023 at 11:11:41 AM

Hi all!

Thank you so much again for such an amazing Kickstarter. We wanted to update you on a few topics.

Backerkit Surveys

Fulfillment of orders will be made through Backerkit. We are busy getting the surveys ready, and you should hopefully start seeing them shortly after the funds clear from Kickstarter. We will be sending another update when the surveys start. Once you get your survey you'll be able to modify your pledge or pledge for more add-ons, if you'd like.

Late Pledges

If you know people who missed out on the campaign, they can make late pledges on our Backerkit late-pledge store

We did it!
over 1 year ago – Thu, Jun 08, 2023 at 08:12:30 AM

We got through to our next stretch goal just in time! With over 1,000 backers, our team is blown away by the amount of support we have received throughout the campaign. Thank you so much for your pledges. We are now switching gears to developing and completing the book, and will be sure to keep you well-informed with updates until our book is in your hands. If you decide you want to change your pledge level or include more add-ons on your pledge, you can head over to our late-pledge store on backerkit to make those changes, or invite people who missed out on the campaign to make their late pledges there!

Less than 24 hours left! 5k to next goal!
over 1 year ago – Wed, Jun 07, 2023 at 09:49:04 AM

The campaign is nearly over

We are close to our next stretch goal at 60k. Let's finish strong by talking about Koboa on social media, in person, everywhere we can so anyone who hasn't heard about the project yet knows we exist! Lets see if we can smash 60k!

48 hours left and another Stretch Goal!
over 1 year ago – Tue, Jun 06, 2023 at 11:17:07 AM

Thank you

We're down to the last 48 hours of the campaign and we cannot believe the outpouring of support we've received! We have unlocked some magic items for the book!  Please be sure to keep sharing and talking about our project so other people can see it and we can have the strongest final two days possible!

We don't have any artwork ready here, but we do have a magic item preview we are actively working on that we thought we'd share with you!

Zefira's Large Pot of Legumes

Wondrous Item

This pot carries a myriad of magical legumes that have multiple effects. Each bean, when removed, lasts up to 1 hour before disintegrating if unused. The pot magically refills with beans every dawn.

Poroto: This common bean is typically used by children for playing games. During a short rest, up to 6 creatures can participate in a game using these beans. For an hour after the short rest, each creature that participated in the game gains the benefits of a bless spell. The pot has enough porotos to be used this way once before running out.

Chocho: The pot contains 5 of these. As an action, a creature can eat one of these to gain the benefits of the longstrider spell.

Lenteja: The pot contains 3 of these beans. As an action, a character can name a creature they can see and throw one of these at the creature. The bean transforms into an unerring dart of pure energy, dealing 1d4 + 1 force damage to the target.

Haba: The pot contains a single one of these beans. A creature can dig it into the ground to cast alarm without using any spell slots.

Additionally, when the pot is put over an open fire, the lid of the pot locks up for 30 minutes, after which the pot is full of fresh soup. The pot contains enough soup to feed 6 people. Each serving provides enough nourishment to sustain a creature for 24 hours. All unused beans still in the pot are used up in the soup when it is used this way.

And again

Thank you!

Now on to another community spotlight:

The Mystery of the Cursed Statuette

The Mystery of the Cursed Statuette is a detective mystery adventure inspired by Sherlock Holmes for 5e systems! The campaign is fully funded and has been chosen as a Project We Love by Kickstarter.
The book is created by Midnight Tower, the two nerds behind other mystery adventures such as An Unexpected Wedding Invitation, Before the Stroke of Midnight, and What Happened to Evy Ashwood?
It also contains The Magpie Secret Society (a compendium with all unlocked stretch goals), custom thematic character sheets, and premade characters for jumpstarting the adventure! The adventure comes with a free VTT pack with tokens, gridless maps, and digital handouts so that the adventures can easily be played online. Start your investigation here!
