February 2026 Update

Hi all!
Layouting continues.
Francita's Chapter 2 (player options) first layout pass is up to 92 pages, which is maybe 8090% of its content. We have forms, classes, subclasses, and backgrounds laid out and now need to lay out spells, magic items, and feats. Its shaping up to be about half of the book which is why we're splitting it into clearer subsections. We expect to have the first pass of chapter 2 done in a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, Manchae made some beautiful page borders to decorate separate chapters:
Sadly, both Manchae and Francita (our layout people) have had some health issues crop up this month so we've made a bit less progress than we'd been hoping for. However, we are all still optimistic we can have the PDF ready in a month or two.
We've also added some customization tables to our forms, and some extra adventure hooks to our gazetteers, courtesy of Daniel Delgado's writing and Elizabeth Banerjee's editing.
Thank you for supporting South American projects, dreams, and excellence, particularly in times such as these.

Hi everyone!
Happy 2026 to everyone on the Gregorian calendar!
Updates:
We have a preview of the Koboan pantheon of deities for y'all .
As always, join our Discord server to give us any feedback, comments, or general notes you'd like to share!
Progress Updates:
Chapter 2 continues, we've got most of the classes and subclasses laid out. It's looking awesome.
Appendices are almost finalized, so is chapter 4 (Wisdoms) and chapter 3 (Gazetteers). Chapter 3 has gone through a final proofreading pass and just needs a few things to get finalized.
We're hoping to have a PDF ready by late February or early March. We're still looking at options for printing and manufacturing physical things.
That's it for today

December 2025 Update

Hi all!
Thank you for being amazing backers!
This month the main layout pass for chapter 3 (Gazetteers) got done! We even have a preview for y'all, the entire Novpo Gazetteer, which you can access here . The discord server members voted on which gazetteer to preview and Novpo won. If you want to participate in future votes of this kind and get previews early, you can join the discord server with this link.
On to updates. I will write down the status of every chapter, when each chapter is done the pdf is done and ready to get out to you. I've had a few questions about updated release dates, I've been hesitant to come up with any because it is such a difficult task and I hate giving new dates that we then have to keep pushing back. Instead, I've been trying to keep you updated each month with the exact status of the project. Please let me know if that works for y'all.
Chapter 1, Intros: Text finalized, layout not started yet (this chapter is very short and we don't expect it to take too long so we're saving it for last)
Chapter 2, Player Options: First layout pass is 30% done. This chapter is extremely long and will probably be the last thing we complete, but progress is going fine with it.
Chapter 3, gazetteers: First layout pass is 100% done. Editors are taking a look at the result and giving feedback for the second layout pass.
Chapter 4, wisdoms: First layout pass is 90% done
Chapter 5, creatures: This is 99% finalized, just some minor adjustments we need to make in the final layout pass.
Appendices: First layout pass is 90% done.
As you can see we are all working hard, Manchae and Francita are finishing their layout passes and then Ben, Elizabeth, Kaithzer, and myself are looking over the results, giving feedback, and then Manchae or Francita apply the feedback.
Hope y'all have a good December and enjoy the Novpo gazetteer! Would love to hear any feedback or reactions you have!

Hi everyone!
Progress continues on layout. Chapter 2 (player options) is very long so we are focusing on that right now. Here is a sample for our progress on the subclasses section, focusing on the barbarian
Also, we released another one of our articles from Chapter 4 (Wisdoms) on our discord.
We're nearing the finish line, excited for you to see it all.

October Updates

Hi hi hi
Updates for this month
Layout on chapter 5 is 99% finalized, Chapter 4 first layout pass is done and now is in an editing pass, chapters 3, 2, and the appendices are all in different stages of almost having their first pass done. Manchae and Francita are doing an incredible job with it, as are Ben, Elizabeth, and Kaithzer with looking at the passes for polish and adjustments. It's gonna be a beautiful book/pdf y'all.
With a first pass in Chapter 4 done, I thought I'd share a preview of it with you all. Chapter 4 is a unique chapter. It is a collection of essays about Koboa, whether they be short stories, analysis of different aspects of Koboa, or tips on running Koboa from different perspectives. Today I'll be sharing two of those articles with you - Centering Indigenous Joy & Healing from Colonization in Collaborative Storytelling by Angel Amore and On Playing Indigenous Characters by Daniel Delgado. These two articles were the winners in the mini-survey we did in our discord channel to determine what should get previewed, so be sure to join the channel if you want to participate in that input. Or to give us feedback, we love feedback!
Without further ado, you can find the two preview articles here.
We're still looking into options for production. We are waiting to see how the situation settles before we resume work on the PF2 conversion (need to get an idea of what the impact on our budget will be with regards to tariffs and international shipping in particular) and will be starting our Spanish localization for chapters as soon as each chapter is finished. We had a meeting with our Brazilian partners that went very well, I'm very excited for our Brazilian audience to find out what's in store.
For this month, I'd like to spotlight a project by.... me! Turns out I am a member of the community, and I just released something I'm excited to share with y'all.
Until next month,
Adrián
No gods, no devils. Just beasts.
In Beasts you play a group of teenage child soldiers fighting an insidious enemy hellbent on the silent conquest of humanity. The enemy is a secretive organization, covertly taking control of people’s minds, bodies, and will. Should the enemy’s invasion ever become known to society at large, they would shift their strategy to full-out war against humanity, something you know that would result in the loss of a staggering amount of lives. You and your friends have the power to transform into animals. Will this power be enough to turn the tides of the invasion? Probably not, but you are our only hope.
How far will you go to win this war? And what will be left of you when it is over?
Beasts is a Powered by the Apocalypse game inspired by the Animorphs book series.
The barebones (for now) 19-page quickstart guide has all you need to play a session with your friends.
- Beautifully designed Character Sheets
- Session 0 information for building a world
- Character creation rules
- 16 moves for a full gameplay experience
- GM tips and information for running a multi-session campaign with a climactic ending
Tell the story of teenagers who try to hold on to their convictions in an impossible war. The question is not whether they will get through this with their humanity unscathed - but rather how far they will have to go to have any chance of winning.
With the ability to turn into animals, you'll use your animal forms to spy on the Enemy, discovering their secret plots, and use the gathered intel on missions to sabotage them. Be careful to keep your cover, though. You still need to go to school and pretend everything is OK. You never know who's head the Enemy is already in.
You might turn into an eagle to follow someone from above, sneak into a secret meeting as a mouse, or fight off dangerous otherworldly monsters as a bear.
Why No Crowdfunding?
Let's be honest here. Big crowdfunding campaigns are stressful and expensive.
* Rather than spend 20-50% of any crowdfunding funds on stuff that isn't the book, we'd rather a bigger percentage of that go to making this book happen.
* Rather than ask you to risk your money in a product that may never exist, we'd rather give you something tangible for your money.
Thus,
Purchase the quickstart guide now to help fund the full book.
If funding goals are met, we'll get to work on a full PDF (or maybe even a print run if things go super well). Owning the $7 quickstart guide will give you a $15 discount on the finalized PDF or printed out book, when they are eventually (we hope!) funded and created. So you don't have to pay for the full PDF until it is made, and you'll pay less than if you wait.
